H.V.A.C. DUCT CLEANING

AIR IS MORE POLLUTED INSIDE, THAN OUTSIDE
The design to buildings being more energy efficient has resulted in greater insulation of indoor air contaminants and particles being greatly increased. These can include viruses, fungi, dust, glass fibers and radon by products as well as many gases and fumes from tobacco smoke, chemicals, cleaning products, pressed wood and other surfaces.
Indoor air problems can be corrected through several methods. First we visit the premises and examine building plans to assess the type of HVAC system that is installed. The HVAC system may be the most important part of a healthy building environment. Our process inhibits odours as it reduces dust and other allergies and it can improve airflow by up to 30 percent. This improves heating and cooling efficiency and lowers energy costs. Concept Clean Africa’s comprehensive range of air duct cleaning equipment and specially formulated chemicals are designed to decontaminate all types of air ducts and other components. DEODORIZATION / ODOUR REMOVAL
Surfaces that have been damaged by smoke are treated at the beginning of the process. Immediate treatment of the air is done using Oxine AD-A-Fog (any application). This saturates and penetrates into cracks, holes and hidden wall/ceiling areas. The smoke odour is absorbed by the Oxine AD-A-Fog and particles are neutralized.
WALLS, CEILINGS AND HARD SURFACE FLOORS
Washable wall and ceiling surfaces (such as enamel paint, vinyl wallpaper, etc,) are restored using degreasing and deodorizing chemicals. Wall paper and acoustical materials will be restored using a dry cleaning sponge that removes the soot and odour. Hard surface walls that are severely damaged may need to be pre-sprayed with a degreaser and hand scrubbed. Surfaces may also need to be sealed prior to painting in order to prevent soot penetration. Hard surface floors are cleaned with degreasing and deodorizing chemicals.
CARPET, UPHOLSTERY AND CURTAIN CLEANING
Total restoration of carpets is achieved by using our range of water extraction carpet cleaning machines. Air movers and dehumidifiers accelerate drying time. Odour and mildew removal is achieved when neutralizing carpets with Oxine A.D. during the drying process. After the carpet has dried completely it can be tested for structural integrity.
Very seldom is upholstered furniture damaged beyond restoration. All fabrics can be vacuumed thoroughly first. Most synthetic fabrics are wet cleaned and restored. Delicate fabrics should be cleaned and restored using a dry cleaning process. Deodorizing is part of both processes.
RESTORATION/ ELECTRONIC RESTORATION
The control of metal corrosion has become critically important with the advent of micro-electronic technology, increasing use of precision equipment and the use of new chemicals in the extinguishing of fires. These by-products can be very corrosive on materials they come into contact with. It is important to remember that corrosion begins immediately after the fire is extinguished, and controlling it is dependent on how soon restoration begins.
ELEVATOR SHAFTS & STAIRWELLS
Elevator shafts are normally contaminated in a fire due to updraft. It is vital that the shaft is treated before the elevator is put back into use. The movement of the car can cause movement of particles and smoke odour throughout the building. The shaft will be deodorized by wet or dry fogging using Oxine AD-A-Fog, to assist with the removal of soot odours.
Stairwells are normally contaminated in a fire due to lack of air movement. Stairwells can be cleaned by hand or high pressure washing. Surfaces may have to be degreased, hand scrubbed, sealed and deodorized in preparation for painting.
OZONING & DEHUMIDIFICATION
The ozone machine generates a rheostat controlled stream of ozone (taken from ambient oxygen), which converts odours into harmless, odourless carbon dioxide and water vapour. The unused ozone simply reverts back to oxygen leaving no perfumes or unpleasant odours behind. It can be used on-site or in-shop to remove smoke odours from garments, drapes, carpets and furniture.
VStructures and contents subjected to excessive water and high humidity will continue to deteriorate. Further damage will result if steps are not taken to remove this moisture. This is done with dehumidification that rapidly removes the humidity.

ENVIROCON DEODORISER
Concept Clean Africa uses market leading cleaning, sanitation and deodorising products imported form the U.S to achieve our professional results.
EnviroCON is a mild bacteriostat and fungistat that we use when the primary objective of the treatment is to remove odors associated with mold, mildew or bacteria. EnviroCON is unscented and is NOT a perfume, cover-up or masking agent.
It works by oxidizing the causes of these odors, not by adding its own scent to the air coming from your ducts. EnviroCON is an effective bacteriostat and fungistat that inhibits the reproduction of odor-causing microorganisms such as mold and mildew. Its active ingredient is Chlorine Dioxide (0.1%). This product is completely safe for building occupants including children and pets. No evacuation is necessary during or after application. When the product dries completely (in an hour or two), there is almost no residue and what little is present is inert and has no further chemical action.
However, please note that, even with a product as mild as EnviroCON, if you or other building occupants have a history of sensitivity to chemical treatments, it is wisest NOT to have us apply this treatment in your air ducts.
Oxine A.D Sanitiser

OXINE is a true sanitizer and much stronger than EnviroCON. We apply OXINE in the air ducts of our customers when the primary objective is to kill 100% of all mold, mildew and viruses/bacteria that may still persist at a microscopic level even after a thorough duct cleaning has been carried out. OXINE has been shown to be effective even against microbes such as Stachybotrys chartarum, Mycobacterium bovis (Tuberculosis), Aspergillus fumigatus spores, Legionella pneumophila, Mucor sp., Penicillium roquefortii, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and Trichophyton mentagrophytes.
OXINE is often the sanitizer product of choice for those among our customers who have family members with asthma or severe allergies. In many cases, these customers are intent on removing from their ductwork any and all possible triggers of allergic reactions.
Our technicians use respirators while they apply OXINE. All building occupants are required to evacuate during the treatment and for at least one hour afterward. Like EnviroCON, however, OXINE becomes entirely inert and odourless after it is dry. Its active ingredient, Chlorine Dioxide (2%), provides no residual action at all after drying, which means no off- gassing of VOCs (volatile organic compounds). VOCs are infamous for causing greater distress to highly allergic people than the microbes they are supposed to target.
Even though this product is strong and effective, its toxicity is so low that the EPA assigned it a Category III toxicity rating (category IV is the lowest). However, as with EnviroCON, if you or other building occupants have a history of sensitivity to chemical treatments, it is wisest NOT to have us apply this treatment in your air ducts. The price for this treatment is $150 when applied as part of a full system cleaning.
ClenAir Odor Neutraliser Gel Block
ClenAir Original Odor Neutralizers are unique odor neutralizers, not perfumes or cover-ups. They eliminate unpleasant odors from the air, neutralizing those caused by smoke, mold, mildew, cat litter and pets, as well as the noxious smells created by formaldehyde hydrogen sulfide and other chemicals. ClenAir Odor Neutralizers are used by hospitals, nursing homes, hotels and many other businesses. They can be used in homes, basements, locker rooms, cars, boats, and any other space that needs refreshing, and come in a variety of sizes.
Use one to two pounds of ClenAir Odor Neutralizer for every 400 square feet.
